Finding big and tall casual shorts in the correct size isn’t always easy. However, there are simple measurements you can take at home to ensure you get the proper fit. When measuring yourself for shorts, there are two key measurements you need to take: your waist measurement and your inseam measurement.

• Waist measurement: To measure your waist, use a soft tape measure to measure around your natural waistline, which is typically the narrowest part of your waist. When measuring, make sure the measuring tape is snug but not too tight.

• Inseam measurement: In this case, your inseam is the length from the top of your thigh to the point which you’d like your shorts to fall. When measuring your inseam, stand straight with your legs slightly apart and measure from the inner inseam to where you want your shorts to end, typically above the knee.
